Production steps metal 3D printing

Step 1: Design

Selective Laser Melting Modell

You design the desired part and send us the CAD file together with a drawing of the part as a PDF file. In order to benefit from all the advantages of additive manufacturing, we support you in optimizing the design.

Step 2: Preparation

The machine is prepared for the production of your part. Where required, support structures are added to the part in order to ensure a high-quality result.

Step 3: Production

Your part is produced in layers until the desired height is reached.

Step 4: Post-processing

Surface finishing, mechanical processing or heat treatment: As soon as the part has been removed from the machine, post-processing can begin.

Surface finishing

Depending on the selected material, the surface of the part has a roughness of 15 – 35 µm. The surface can be improved by sandblasting or vibratory grinding.

Mechanical processing

Parts with a joining surface or a thread must be mechanically reworked. In cooperation with our partner network we can offer you fast and uncomplicated EDM and wire EDM as well as CNC milling, CNC turning and grinding.

Heat treatment

Do you place exceptional high demands on properties such as hardness or tensile strength of your part? Different heat treatments can improve the desired properties. We are pleased to advise you.
